Mazur Senior Care Services was founded in 2011 with the opening of our first home, Blue Sky Senior Living in Southfield, MI. Our primary goal is to provide an assisted living option for seniors in a home-like environment. Our management staff is experienced in many aspects of the care business, and also relies on outside experts such as physicians, nurses, case managers, etc to help with educating families and impacting lives of families in an extremely positive way by simply taking good care of the residents we serve.
Mr. Nathan Mazur noticed a void in the Southeastern Michigan long-term care market. Many nursing homes were coming to him asking him to help different families make decisions about what type of care might be best for their loved one when they left the nursing homes. An overwhelming number of families decided to go with small residential care homes instead of large assisted living facilities, however most families were unaware that this option existed prior to being introduced to it by our company. Mr. Mazur saw an opportunity in this market, and with that, Mazur Senior Care Services was formed.
Mazur Senior Care Services continues to grow, and by the end of 2012 we will have 5 homes opened, with the goal to continue to expand rapidly in 2013.
Mr. Mazur believes that most seniors function and live better outside of a nursing home environment, and if medically safe, assisted living is always recommended. Most assisted living homes (even the small ones) can accommodate a high level of care, and unless a 24/7 skilled environment is required by a doctor, the small scale environment usually provides the most stable environment.
We are a family owned and managed business, and we operate like one. Everyone has their responsibilities, however employees who show us respect, receive the same in return.
It's not uncommon for ownership to offer perks to employees such as dinners, trips, and other company paid for incentives.
